Acquisition Network builds relationships across founder, investor, operator, and professional communities. We are expanding a network of independent professionals who can create useful connections with startup, university, and accelerator alumni communities.

The role

Acquisition Network is hiring a Startup Alumni Partnerships Coordinator with experience organizing alumni communities in New York. You will develop relationships with alumni organizers and founder groups, coordinate approved conversations or events, and help founders who are preparing for growth or a capital raise take an appropriate next step. This role combines community relationship management, programming, and careful follow-up.

What you will do

  • Build relationships with university alumni groups, accelerator alumni networks, founder communities, and program organizers in New York.
  • Learn each community's priorities, communication norms, and partnership requirements.
  • Coordinate approved events, educational conversations, office hours, or introductions.
  • Identify founders who request additional support and obtain permission before making an introduction.
  • Maintain clear records of organizer relationships, participation, and next steps.
  • Gather feedback that can improve future programming and partnerships.
  • Support consistent follow-up with organizers and interested founders.

What we are looking for

  • Experience running alumni engagement, founder communities, events, memberships, or program operations.
  • Understanding of how university, accelerator, or professional alumni networks operate.
  • Relevant organizer or founder relationships in New York.
  • Strong written communication, coordination, and relationship-management skills.
  • Respect for community rules, member privacy, and consent.
  • Reliable organization and the ability to work independently.

Engagement details

This is a paid, remote independent contractor opportunity focused on community partnership development in New York. Scope, performance expectations, and compensation will be included in the written contractor agreement.
