Acquisition Network is accepting applications for a paid Account Executive - Payroll and HR Software opening focused on selling payroll, HR, and employer-services software in New York.

The work

As a Account Executive - Payroll and HR Software, your specialty is selling payroll, HR, and employer-services software. Scope, assigned accounts or searches, workload, and engagement terms must be agreed before work starts.

Responsibilities

• Apply your experience in selling payroll, HR, and employer-services software to the agreed work.
• Run discovery and solution conversations with business owners and decision-makers.
• Connect qualified needs to relevant offerings and explain capabilities using approved product information.
• Coordinate demonstrations, stakeholder questions, proposals, and a documented next step.
• Manage an accurate opportunity pipeline with realistic timing, risks, and follow-up actions.
• Work with BDRs, partner teams, and provider representatives on clean handoffs.
• Respect approval boundaries: provider terms, credit decisions, pricing, and contracts remain with the authorized party.

Qualifications

• Previous account-executive experience selling banking, lending, payroll, HR, or related B2B software solutions.
• Clear communication, independent organization, and reliable follow-through.
• Ability to explain relevant prior work without sharing confidential client or employer material.
• Familiarity with the startup and professional-services ecosystem in the target city.

Engagement and compensation

Fixed pay: $9,000 to $15,000 per month. Engagement: contractor.
